Night time

[maraudings]

[James is sprawled over the sofa, with the map of the Nexus on his stomach. He's just completed the last of the tracer spells so it's ready to show off. He's fallen asleep.

Behind James a new door has opened in the wall. He's magically expanded the flat again and the door has a sign on it saying Moony's Den. The room is completely blank apart from a framed photo of the three of them, a stack of cds ranging through the decades and cd player.

James twitches in his sleep. Uneasy in his dreams, chasing a shadow that won't let him near his friends. The shadow turns to him and starts to envelop him until he can no longer see them. He cries out]

Love that song. [Remus leans back against the sofa, listening. James is good at this, surprisingly so.] This is much, much better than headphones.

[Remus laughs, looking distinctly uncomfortable. He never sings in front of everyone.] Not sure I could do McCartney justice, Prongs.

Dunno, all I know is you have to be able to sing better than me

You’re anything but. [Remus grins, but sings along with James. It’s not long before he’s enjoying this; though they might sound terrible to outsiders, he’s convinced it’s brilliant.]

[James' voice becomes quieter, letting Remus' much better tone take the lead]

[Remus' eyes widen and he grows quiet as well. Definitely not a lone voice!]

[James grins at Moony and raises his voice again to the end of the song. He sets the guitar down] that was great fun

That's a great song. [Remus grins back, looking at James with renewed admiration.] And you're quite brilliant, you know.

I know, I love the guitar [he stretches and lazes into the sofa] we'll have to do this all the time now

Is that a promise? [Remus smiles, leaning back against the sofa.] I listen to music all the time here, you know. It seems like it's everywhere.

Same. When did you learn how to play like that, J? Is it just since being here?

I'd started learning last summer, but I've got better practising more here
